Tour Stop #4: 1007 Isabella Street

Artsy renovation

As soon as you walk into the 1883 “Thoeny House”, you will guess that the owner is an artist. The walls of the cleverly renovated home (done by Neighborhood Foundations a few years ago) are filled with colorful images from the owner’s own brush, as well as many done by his friends. The first floor is one open, inviting space. The second floor has two bedrooms and a bathroom. The third floor is where the magic happens. It’s a working artist studio and creative people will feel inspired just standing in it. Walk slowly as you tour this joyful house, so you have time to appreciate the details of the art and the fun accessories (can you spot Big Boy?).
