After successfully renovating and selling their first house in Bellevue, this couple wanted something turn-key for their next home. They got it in this gorgeous Victorian, complete with half cove shingle accents, a tower and large porch, which had just been given a high-end flip by the previous owner. The house was originally built in the 1840’s and was converted to a 2-family home when it was around 100 years old. It has now been restored as a single family and treated to a lot of upgrades and a slightly reworked floorplan that makes it perfect for the current owners, who moved in less than a year ago. On the first floor, the 10’ ceilings, original pocket doors, fireplace insert and deep wood trim were retained, while updated lighting and floors, new powder room and fabulous kitchen make the home seem both historic and modern at the same time. On the second floor, one bedroom was sacrificed to create the laundry area and a luxurious master bathroom with a soaking tub and stacked stone wall. There are still three bedrooms, plus one off the third floor family room (which is not open during the tour). The open spaces, comfortable furnishings and colorful art have come together in a welcoming, easy-living home, perfect for the owners to hang out with friends or just relax together after a busy day.
