The owners are giving us a peek into this renovation in progress so you can see the structure of the house and hear about the proposed changes. Built before 1900, the home still has a surprising number of original and intact details, including two mantels, swing-out transoms, staircase bannisters and a tin ceiling in the kitchen. Plans for the exterior of this house include exposing and restoring the original wood siding, pouring new sidewalks and parking pad and restoring the windows. On the inside, there will be a new powder room next to the stairs and an open kitchen design. The 2nd floor’s larger room will become a master bath, laundry area and den. The addition of a dormer on the back of the house will give the 3rd floor more usable space and allow for a balcony overlooking the back yard. You will enjoy exploring the “during” part of this renovation and see the planning and restoration in action.
